The Floral Notebook: Blouse Review

Earlier today I received my blouses from a small brand called "The Floral Notebook", a brand that does custom sizing orders on numerous lolita items, their biggest items being blouses. You send in your measurements and pick one of their styles (they can also do original designs or modifications as well if asked), and the item is made just for you. They have a variety of colors to choose from as well, and the seamstress will work with you to find the exact color you need.

They were having a sale mid December, so I jumped on the chance and ordered two blouses. For time reference, I ordered at the end of November, my order was shipped out December 20th, and I received my blouses today, January 20th.

My package:

Super beat up! When I saw the tear I freaked out. I was just hoping my blouses were ok...

First was the "Translucent Dream" blouse in Brown:

Missing a button, which I found in the wrapping it was in. The back of the button appears to be broken off too, so there was no remaining loop for me to attach it back on (likewise, the thread loop where the button should have been hanging onto was still intact, so it wasn't ripped off).

I didn't take photos wearing this one, but it was very cute on. Thankfully I don't wear skirts, so the missing button will be covered up by my dresses. Going to look into getting a replacement though.

Next blouse was the "Princess of the Rose" in White:

No flaws, my favorite of the two. I kind of want this one in a million colors.

 Overall Experience: 3/5

Outside of the missing button on one blouse, they're wonderful items. I like the fabric, the fit on each of them was perfect with the measurements I supplied, and the colors are exactly what I wanted. However, I am marking down the score due to the package and button issues, as well as the incredibly long time I had to wait (The seamstress never sent me tracking, so I was left in the dark for a lot of my transaction). I may order from The Floral Notebook again, I'm hoping if I do that my next transaction goes much smoother.
